In my paintings I express pure, raw joy of living. I paint sunlit beaches, crashing waves, beautiful girls faces, fun animals. But life is complicated; the oppression, the fear is never far away. To reflect the feelings that comes with struggle I paint stormy seas, dark waters, waves crashing over lighthouses and cliffs. I find myself coming back again and again to painting a lighthouse. To me, lighthouses are not just much loved local landmarks built to guide the ships, they are symbols of manmade structure that guides us through the storm within us.

Every one of my paintings has its own mood. When you choosing a painting or a print it is useful to think what mood would you like to create in a particular spot, room or area. Some of my paintings are full of light and joy, some are so much fun and just beautiful, the others feel very dramatic, some are peaceful and tranquil.

When I paint, I express the mood not only through imagery and colour but via the speed and energy oh my brushstrokes. From just letting paint spread to the furious, wild and fearless brushstrokes.

My work is acrylic ink on canvas, mainly cityscapes, seascapes, and portraits painted in a spontaneous and vibrant way. My aim is to create a unique, colourful, decorative, soulful addition to your home that makes you happy, makes you smile, brings warm feeling into your soul.

I was born in Panevezys, Lithuania. After completing my studies at the Vilnius Academy of Art I worked in advertising. Many years ago I married an Englishman (still married :) ) and moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, where I have been living for the past 30 years.
