I was born in Panevezys, Lithuania. After completing my studies at the Vilnius Academy of Art I worked in advertising. Many years ago I married a Geordie (still married :) ) and moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, where I have been living for the past 27 years.
I am fascinated by the collision of natural elements such as seas and rivers meeting manmade structures. The river Tyne features prominently in my paintings of Newcastle. I am also inspired by the architecture that goes into creating iconic cityscapes.
My work is acrylic ink on canvas, mainly cityscapes, seascapes, and portraits; painted in a spontaneous and vibrant way. My aim is to create a colourful, decorative addition to a public space or home that makes you happy, makes you smile, brings warm feeling into your soul.
